Dieter Close UP |
Dieter wriggles. A lot! As a result I have a lot of pictures that are of a brown streak at the lower edge of the photo--Dieter doing a flyby and my shutter not able to keep up. I also have a lot of pictures of just his tail, as the rest of him has already exited stage left.
So we decided it would be nice to get some professional photos done of Dieter. We hired Lloyd's niece's boyfriend to take some photos (don't know if after his session with Dieter if he'll want to stick to human subjects instead of crazy, enthusiastic dogs). Sean was game and came over to our house with his lighting and nice camera (I lust after the camera, but that's another story...).
First we got Dieter to settle down a bit. He loves meeting new people and Sean sure got the Doggie Welcome Wagon treatment. Helllloooooo. Bounce, bounce, bounce.

Dieter tries to channel Rin Tin Tin |
We got some nice shots and still have to select a few we want some stuff Photoshopped out of (like leashes and ugly phone cords that were lurking in the corner).

Who is this hairy guy? |
Then right before Christmas we took Dieter to Two Boston's, where he got his picture taken with Santa. Dieter said Santa's beard didn't look like it fit properly, but what the hey...none of us are perfect. We picked out a neat red and green fringe-y collar for the picture--Lloyd told the sales associate he thought Dieter looked ridiculous in it, but knew I'd love it. There's an insult there somewhere, but I know it's just that I have good taste and Lloyd doesn't.
I think if we could curb some of Dieter's enthusiasm, he could have a career in modeling. Or on the silver screen. Who knows: maybe this is how Rin Tin Tin got his start.
