I did it again. I roped Lloyd into loading Dieter into the car and heading to Two Bostons. The Easter Bunny was going to be there, and, well, doesn't everyone need a picture of a German shepherd and a bunny?
Unlike the photo shoot we took him to with Santa, this event was outside. It was a little noisy with all the dogs and people there, but aside from a black lab and a giant Schauzer who had attitude problems, the dogs seemed to be having a good time.
The Easter Bunny was about 6 feet tall. That didn't phase Dieter, but a large, inflatable egg that rolled over toward him startled him.
"What the what?"
So Dieter's dad (AKA Lloyd) ended up having to sit on the bench next to the bunny and I stood by the photographer and called Dieter's name. I think both man and dog were not too happy with me.
Full disclosure--I have Lloyd's permission to post the picture here. Of course I'd already posted it on Facebook, too, where it got a lot of thumbs up.
If looks could kill--they both look like they were about ready to clobberate me for my stupid
Easter Bunny idea. At least I didn't make them wear an Easter bonnet! I
might need instructions on how to get into the witness protection program if I don't wise up
.
