Hello, I must be going

Dieter is a perpetual-motion machine. He's a busy guy and is always checking things out or making merry. I found these Kong squeaky balls that he just loves. And amazingly, they hold up very well to his chomping.

He trots through the house, carrying the squeaky Kong. The best part of these balls is that he can make a right-old noise with them. Squeeek...Squeeeeeeeek.......SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. And repeat. Over. And over....When he gets up a real head of steam, it sounds like a demented mouse laughing.

It also reminds me of the old Marx Brothers movies, when Harpo would gambol around, honking his horn and whistling. Dieter even has the loping walk down pat, a la Harpo (well, maybe a bit more like Groucho). But the noise-making is pure Harpo. Here's Harpo "communicating" via the horn:

Dieter, while no where near as musical as Harpo and the other Marx Brothers, makes up for his musical shortcomings with with a joy and gusto that has all of those in earshot sitting up and taking notice. To wit:

It's pretty funny for the first few laps through the house, but after a while, we start looking for ear plugs. But if Dieter is channeling Harpo, I wonder if he could learn the harp? My luck, he'd probably figure a way to use it as a slingshot or invent a new game: cat slinging.
